Diary update from the Rector

Ric writes:

"During August there will only be one service on Sunday's, with Sung Eucharist at 10.30. Whilst the 8am service continues to be suspended, for those who prefer an earlier service, Chester Cathedral offers a said service of Holy Communion at 08.30 on Sundays.

A further reminder that during the school holidays there is no Storytelling Service (at 9:30am) or Well (during the 10:30am service).

St Mary's plans to offer a second year of the Warm Spaces Initiative next Winter. The scheme will run from the end of October to the end of March. Each Monday 1 - 4pm excluding Bank Holidays. Last year each volunteer was allocated 2 slots with feedback indicating they had enjoyed the companionship as much as the visitors! This year we plan to offer, in addition to a hot drink and biscuit, soup and a bap. Although we offered a range of activities we found that people just wanted to chat and enjoy the company of others.
There is a sign-up sheet at the back of church for those who wish to be involved. Alternatively, Mavis Sellers, the PCC Secretary, would appreciate volunteers contacting her via"
