St Mary's Mural Competition

During the summer term our Youth Group designed and made a mural as an entry for the Great Community Mural run by the insurers, Ecclesiastical. The Youth Group are hoping that a photo of the mural will be included in a massive collage of entries which will tour various cathedrals in the UK.

To help raise funds for our new Community Centre, the Youth Group also ran a local competition to see who could identify the most features of St Mary's, and its community in the mural, and raised £74 from the entries.

Some of the responses were very interesting. The top left feature (the ice cream stall by the river) had the widest range including an altar, a funeral, a flower shop, and the garage!
