St Mary’s Harvest Festival on 24th September went off with a bang!
To illustrate the story of the Labourer in the Vineyard from St Matthew’s Gospel, the Rector, (aided and abetted by Brian, the Verger) let off some confetti cannons. The confetti was caught up in fishing nets by 6 members of the uniformed organisations.
Whilst each caught a different number of pieces of confetti, depending how many goes they had had, to illustrate the point of the Gospel, each received a similar sized bar of chocolate.
Brian then had the job of clearing up the confetti!
A total of 105.8 kilos of food was collected on the day.
