The weekend was led by Margaret Silf, who had taken early retirement to devote more of her time to creative forms of writing, accompanying others in their prayer journeys and leading retreats. Her writing springs from personal prayer and is an expression of her own journey with God.
Margaret focussed on a number of topics including what prayer means in the ordinary everyday-ness of our lives; the preciousness of our lives to ourselves, to others and, above all, to God; and to seek ways to allow God to transform our routine trudge through life into a place where the Kingdom is coming.
There was also time for relaxing on a rather wet Saturday afternoon, whilst on the Saturday evening Colin Pickering organised a Quiz, followed by a Barn Dance, led by Alistair and Catherine Jones.
A thought provoking and most enjoyable weekend.
