Revd David Cowie has recently moved to St Mary’s as our Curate. David originally hails from Bangor in Northern Ireland, and came to Chester about ten years ago to train as a primary school teacher at the University. Experience as a Chaplaincy Assistant at the University led him to Ripon College, Cuddesdon, to train to be a priest. On completion of his training David returned to Chester, spending two years at Holy Trinity in Blacon before coming to St. Mary's in late April.
We welcome David to the parish and hope he will enjoy his time with us, in spite of being volunteered to man the “throw the wet sponge stall” at the Summer Fair!
